Bio Nirosha Priyadarshani obtained her Bachelor of Science, specialising in Statistics and Computer Science, and Master of Philosophy in Computer Science (speech recognition), from the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka, in 2006 and 2013 respectively. Nirosha has worked as a lecturer in computer science in the same university since 2008 to 2013 until she migrated to New Zealand for her doctoral studies at Massey University, Palmerston North. Her PhD is on automated bird song recognition focusing conservation. She was awarded runner-up Conservation Innovation Award in 2014 (research category).
