Stoatahoy!. It is well known amongst mustelid researchers that the female stoat gives shrill and loud calls at certain times of her reproductive cycle to entice males. Our idea is to use this call as a lure to bring male stoats towards traps

- Have a national plan, clearly identifying where the kiwi areas are now and where they will be in 1, 2, 3 - 25 years so that people know what's coming, where and when - Some kiwi areas of Northland already have dog free subdivisions so there is nothing new about this concept. - Once the whole concept of dog free zones is established then the principles can be extended to domestic cats, thus benefitting the bird population, cats should hence also be included in any legislative action.....
