Why invent the wheel , when 24/7 monitoring high tech already exist?

Children are the future volunteers:

Our PROJECT is to deliver a game where you can be part of NZ Rodent Caching via an APP called

PF2050 Caching’.   This can provide a platform for access to Research and Development on existing pest control projects shared on a national basis, increase awareness and gather additional information.

The APP and Data base are in place, tested and ready to roll out with a national wide network of 99.9% coverage in NZ, that includes APP 24/7 Monitoring devices with long lasting lures that attract pests.

How it works:   Interested parties buy a trap and place the station in a suitable targeted area for pest control that is managed, such as a Sanctuary or Council monitored area, or maybe in a place of their choice.  Load up the APP on their phone and track the progress.

What conservation problem are you trying to solve?

Safe time...

Deliver functional solutions, support trial and projects, train and educate, allow anybody to have access to the APP and software and tools. Gain a community that shares one goal PF2050. Our main target are species mice, rats, cats and mudslides, but can add due to our flexibility and know how.

We can safe time and deliver control, support and act fast in new developments for any predator. All based on latest affordable technology that are not only non toxic that already proven widely in the industry around the globe.  We work with communities and land owners, sanctuaries, pest control industry, councils, schools and many more.

We not only trying to solve we already solve pest problems. Our pest elimination starts with mice and ends bigger species.

We can fit in as our solutions are flexible to use and can be adjusted to anybodies need.

How are you going to solve this conservation problem?

We are constantly developing and working with partners internationally who have access to high tech knowledge.  Our aim is to improve our network by 25% in the next 5 years by investing into the future that helps everybody. We would like to see a network that is stable and accessible everywhere and available to everyone.

Why? - The aim is that if a person sees and trap activated anywhere, passes it and has the chance to re-activated it, let them stop and do it.

How? - Just check their mobile device.  We can fit the device to any existing trap like we have on the DOC 150 for Punakaiki.   For rats we use our Trapsensor with an eight-month rechargeable battery life.

How to place them in the right place?  - Use the people who know and let them support that part.

Our knowledge is based on actual, facts and day to day dealings with pests in the pest control industry of NZ and around the globe. Our tools are “State of Art” and affordable in all aspects.

What makes your idea new and unique?

We were approached to develop a 24/7 monitored trapping device/senor and long-lasting lures.

Our 24/7 Monitoring system is suitable for industry and outdoor environments, it is functional and proven. We see the benefit of this system in supporting the community in the quest for PF2050.

We are ready to supply the system in a timely manner and believe it is time to promote and train potential users, sponsors and future generations, some of whom are already tracking pests via SIM card technology.

Trapsensor (www.trapsensor.com) and MinkPolice (www.minkpolice.com) are proven high tech solutions for 24/7 monitoring that uses SIM Card Technology.

We are working with network providers on a world scale and our goal is to make New Zealand 99.9% coverage available. Combined with long lasting lures this will save time and man power, giving us a wider scope and control that can be shared.

Lets implement what works and spend out time to get as many people on board as possible.

Who will use your idea, and how will they benefit?

We will present the programme to business associates and local operators to gain sponsorship to assist with ongoing funding of the programme.

To promote through schools as an environmental, non-toxic, zero risk to children project, this can be a class project with the teacher monitoring with the class or individual children, with parental permission, having the APP on their own phones.

Let’s make it FUN.

Initially starting with 5 to 10 schools, setting up the programme, educating them on the technology, implementing a strategy for the children and/or teachers.

With 287,000 secondary and 475,797 primary and intermediate children enrolled in 2011.  Imagine 1% of this population is 7,628 traps followed by APP or even if every school in NZ had 10 stations each.

A GREAT IMPACT.

What tasks or activities do you need investment for? How would you spend a $25,000 grant?

There are some really interesting ideas here, but I'm afraid I don't really follow what you're proposing. Is it a game, cellular-based trap monitoring, something with schools, what is this 'network' you want to improve by 25% in 5 years?

I hope this feedback is constructive and helps you to make the best possible proposal!

Hi It's a mission to have all schools following this mission for PF2050.
I think it is more than realistic to have 25% all school signed up as it does take time to explain and train, etc...

You soft ware idea looks great and possible can be implemented?

Hope this explains it to you.....

Agree some really good ideas and looks like a positive start.
